Indian Women in the Olympics.

Women players from India participated in the Olympic games for the first time in 1952, in the Helsinki Olympics, Finland.
The three women athletes who created history were Dolly Nazir, Mary D’Souza and Nilima Ghose.

Dressed in white silk salwar and kameez and blue vests are the women competitors from India – Dolly Nazir, Mary D’Souza and Nilima Ghose at the Olympic Village.

Dolly Rustom Nazir nee Byramji (1935–2012) was a swimmer. She competed in two events at the 1952 Summer Olympics held in Helsinki.
