Assumption Day.

15 August is celebrated by Christians all over the world as the day Holy Mary assumpted ( taken ) to heaven.

Mary/Maria/ Miriam is the most revered Saint of the Church as the mother of Jesus, son of God.
Mary was born in a Jewish family in Nazareth,Galilee, during the reign of the Roman Emperor Herod, as the daughter of Joachim and Anna.
It was her cousin Elizabeth, mother of John the Baptist, who informed her that she was the chosen one to be the mother of Christ.
Mary was betrothed to Joseph, and Jesus was born in Bethlehem. The holy family lived in Bethlehem and later in Nazareth.
It was at the behest of Mary that Jesus performed his first miracle during a marriage at Cana. Mary was present when Jesus was crucified.

St Mary is the holy person to whom Christians pray for intercession, while praying to God for blessings. Thousands and thousands of churches across the world are dedicated to the Virgin Mary. The Marian Littany is part of the daily prayer of every Catholic.
Places like Lourdes and Fatima, where the Apparition of Mary is believed to have occurred, are among the largest pilgrim centres in the world.
I consider it as a divine blessing that Sasikala Joseph and I were able to see Michael Anjelo’s Pieta in Rome, visit and pray at most of the Marian pilgrimage centres in Europe including Lourdes France, Fatima Portugal, Lissuiex France, and Mudjugora Serbia , in April 2023.
