TYPOS.

If you have ever wondered why typographical errors creep into your writing, no matter how diligent you are, you have a specific demon to blame.
His name is Titivillus, and he is the “patron demon” of scribes. He first appeared in print in 1285. Not only does he introduce errors into an otherwise perfect manuscript, but he also notes, when those of us who do public speaking, stumble, mumble, or otherwise go astray in our speech.
You’ll see him hovering around people who gossip, collecting the names of those who make errors.
Naturally, he works on behalf of the Devil!
And now you have someone to blame for those typos.
