Hyundai has inaugurated the world’s largest waste-to-hydrogen facility, boasting an annual production capacity of over 30,000 tons of hydrogen. Unveiled at Seoul’s MEET conference, this plant leverages advanced biogas and gasification technologies to convert organic waste and plastic into environmentally friendly hydrogen.
Hyundai aims to mitigate global warming by harnessing waste methane and plastic, while developing region-specific initiatives to minimize hydrogen transportation and storage costs.
This plant marks a significant milestone towards achieving sustainability and hydrogen resource self-sufficiency.
