Lord of the Flies
by William Golding.

Lord of the Flies”, by William Golding, first published in 1954, tells the story of a group of British schoolboys who are stranded on an uninhabited island after a plane crash.
The boys struggle to survive and begin to form their own society, but as time goes on, their primitive instincts start to take over, leading to violence, chaos, and ultimately, tragedy.

The novel explores the theme of the inherent savagery of humankind, as the boys become more and more savage and animalistic, as they spend more time on the island. It also explores the tension between civilization and savagery, as the boys struggle to maintain their sense of order and rules in the face of the harsh realities of survival.

Some of the key themes explored in “Lord of the Flies” include the dangers of mob mentality and the importance of individuality, the fragility of civilization and the ease with which it can be destroyed, the inherent evil and savagery of human nature, and the importance of order and rules in society.
