Do Nothing
by Celeste Headlee.

There is no proof that over work brings more money and happiness.

Bertrand Russell wrote the essay, “In Defense of Idleness ” almost a century ago. The pressure to work all day, every day is a recent phenomenon.
The phrase ‘The Culture of Efficiency ‘ was coined by Russell.

Research shows that excessive work will probably not bring you wealth, and it will have damaging effects on your health, says Celeste Headlee in her book. She suggests a way to ” Break Away from Overworking, Overdoing and Underliving”.

Idleness :
Idleness is different from laziness. Laziness is an unwillingness to work. Idleness is simply inactivity.

Self Made Man:
There is no such thing as a ‘Self Made Man’. No one has achieved great things in life without the help and contributions of others.
The myth makes people believe that they can earn success and wealth by working harder and harder. The myth has been used for too long to manipulate workers and convince them to keep working for long hours, chasing a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Multi Tasking :
The human being can’t truly multi-task. Research shows that trying to multi-task reduces the quality of the work you are doing by double digits, and lowers your IQ by 10 to 12 points.

Social Interaction :
Research shows weak ties, those casual interactions with strangers on the street, or a waiter at the restaurant, are very important to our emotional health.

We have to ask ourselves these days, “Why is it so hard?.
Why is it so hard to stay at home?.
Why am I unhappy at my own home, that should be a refuge and sanctuary?. “

We all have to answer that questions for ourselves.
