Stephen Hawking.

14 March is the death anniversary of the great theoretical physicist and cosmologist, Stephen Hawking (1942-2018).

Born in Oxford, England, Hawking studied Physics in Oxford and Astrophysics in Cambridge.
Hawking became world famous when his studies on Blackholes made it possible to move forward the theoretical postulates of Einstein, regarding the General Theory of Relativity.
His book “A Brief History of Time”, published in 1988, is the most popular one in history, on a scientific topic.
He was diagnosed with “amytropic lateral scelerosis” at the young age of 21 years, but he was able to live another 55 years, though confined to the wheel chair. He was able to communicate using a voice synthesiser.
Hawking served as Director of Astrophysics at Cambridge University.
